About Us
Summit Land Counsel
Summit Land Counsel is a boutique land management and consulting firm committed to transforming raw properties into turnkey hunting and recreational tracts while promoting responsible land stewardship. We believe every acre holds untapped potential, and our role is to unlock it in a way that balances enjoyment, function, and long-term sustainability.
Our team specializes in building infrastructure like internal road systems, food plots, and water features, while also designing habitats that support healthy wildlife populations. Beyond construction, we emphasize ongoing stewardship — from seasonal maintenance to habitat improvement — ensuring each property thrives year after year.
At Summit, our mission is simple: to take the sweat equity out of land ownership while enhancing the land itself. By combining experience, passion, and a stewardship-first mindset, we help landowners enjoy their properties today while protecting and enriching them for tomorrow.

Co-Founder
Peter Ward
Peter Ward is the co-founder of Summit Land Counsel, bringing more than a decade of experience buying, transforming, and selling land. His work has given him firsthand knowledge of how to unlock both the recreational and investment potential of rural properties.
His mission is simple: to help landowners realize the full potential of their property without having to spend unnecessary time and money, only to fall short of that potential. At Summit Land Counsel, he ensures every client can step onto their property and immediately enjoy it, with confidence in its function and long-term value.
Peter has been an avid bowhunter for more than 20 years, pursuing game across a wide range of terrains in the Southeast. This experience has given him unique insight into how different landscapes influence hunting strategy, wildlife behavior, and land usability — knowledge he applies to designing properties at their fullest potential.
